New ‘Green Cross Code’ for internet safety ‘Zip it, Block it, Flag it’

The News Centre at DCSF has reported on an unprecedented coalition of Government, industry and charities as they today launch the first UK internet safety strategy, to help children and young people stay safe online.

The first ever internet safety strategy, ‘Click Clever Click Safe’ , was drawn up by the UK Council for Child Internet Safety (UKCCIS) and will be launched by the Prime Minister at the first UKCCIS Summit in London today.

Google brings auto-captioning to YouTube videos

"Watching online video can be frustrating if you cannot hear the audio (due to background noise or physical disability), or when you do not speak the language.

Google has launched a new automatic captioning service which it intends to gradually roll out across its YouTube service."
